Agatha Christie

  • Greenway, Agatha Christie's holiday home
  • Torquay Marina
  • Ansteys Cove in Torquay
  • Meadfoot Beach in Torquay

There is no doubt that Agatha Christie was fiction’s greatest crime writer, and in terms of Worldwide sales, her record is third only to Shakespeare and the Bible, which is something that Devon celebrates, as this is the county in which she was born and raised.  Forty years after her death, she is as popular as ever, and people flock from all over the World to visit Torquay, the town in which she lived, and the surrounding area, so much of which inspired her stories.

We offer a full day Agatha Christie Tour, which takes guests to the places that Agatha loved frequenting as a child and young lady, the places that featured in her stories, and the house that became her second home later on in life, the beautifully situated Greenway, now taken care of by the National Trust.  It is a great day out, and you can see from the gallery some of the locations that feature during this day.
